POWER-QUALITY service packages

Problems with power quality can remain undiscovered for a long time - until it is too late. However, the consequences then become much more serious: Downtime, fires, or unexpectedly rapid wear on plants. Full analysis of power quality with corresponding evaluation of data can avoid exactly that.

For this reason, Janitza has put together three Power Quality service packages so provide you with the best possible support in terms of power quality. Our PQ expert team provides an exclusive consultancy concept with the PQ-QuickCheck, the PQ-HealthCheck and the PQ Special Measurement.

Power Quality service package

PQ Quick Check

PQ QuickCheck is used to determine the power quality status quickly and easily. It includes an evaluation of the power quality according to EN 61000-2-4:2002 or EN 50160 and an individual assessment of selected measured variables.

PQ Health Check

PQ HealthCheck is used to provide a detailed analysis of the power quality status and detailed power quality analysis. It includes an evaluation of the power quality according to EN 50160, EN 61000-2-2, EN 61000-2-4:2002 or EN 61000-2-12 and an individual evaluation of selected measured variables.

PQ Special Measurement

PQ Special Measurement is used to provide a detailed analysis of the power quality status and detailed power quality analysis of a network user, which may be a reference system, generation unit and/or storage system. PQ Special Measurement includes the interfering source identification or interference analysis of customer systems, evaluation of power connections of generation units and storage systems according to D-A-CH-CZ, VDE-AR-N 4110 or FGW TR-3 and evaluation of current harmonics of customer systems according to IEEE 519 etc. (following consultation with the customer). This is a customer-specific measurement.

PQ Quick Check

PQ QuickCheck is used to determine the power quality status quickly and easily. It includes an evaluation of the power quality according to EN 61000-2-4:2002 or EN 50160 and an individual assessment of selected measured variables.

Details of the PQ-QuickCheck

Analysis and evaluation of recorded power quality parameters according to EN 50160 or EN 61000-2-4:2002 standards with recommended actions in the event of limit violations or critical parameters. The measurement data to be evaluated are read out by the customer into the GridVis® software and transmitted to Janitza via data transfer.

Prerequisite: Installed measurement devices, type:

  • UMG 96-PQ-L (with software activation on IEC 61000-4-30 Class S)
  • UMG 604-PRO
  • UMG 605-PRO
  • UMG 801
  • UMG 509-PRO
  • UMG 512-PRO

A recording of at least 7 days is required in order to carry out a standard-compliant measurement, alternatively the measurement can be carried out via a borrowed measuring case. Analysis and evaluation of recorded power quality parameters according to EN 61000-2-4:2002 can be completed using the UMG 604-PRO*, UMG 509-PRO and UMG 801 devices. Analysis and evaluation of recorded power quality parameters according to EN 50160 or EN 61000-2-4:2002 standards can be completed using the UMG 96-PQ-L (with software activation on IEC 61000-4-30 Class S), UMG 605-PRO and UMG 512-PRO devices.

*The UMG 604-PRO is used to evaluate the voltage harmonics up to the 40th order.

Your benefits at a glance

  • We determine the status of power quality together.
  • Together, we monitor  compliance of standards such as EN 50160 and IEC 61000-2-4.
  • Together, we work on early detection of PQ deviations and issues.
  • You know how to proactively approach PQ issues.

PQ Health Check

PQ HealthCheck is used to provide a detailed analysis of the power quality status and detailed power quality analysis.

Details of the PQ-QuickCheck

The PQ QuickCheck includes an evaluation of the power quality according to EN 50160, EN 61000-2-2, EN 61000-2-4:2002 or EN 61000-2-12 and an individual evaluation of selected measured variables.

Analysis and evaluation of recorded power quality parameters according to EN 50160, EN 61000-2-2, EN 61000-2-4:2002 or EN 61000-2-12 standards with recommended actions in the event of limit violations or critical parameters. In addition to the power quality parameters taken into account in the aforementioned standards, the measured variables of current and voltage interharmonics up to the 50th order, voltage supraharmonics up to 150 kHz and current supraharmonics up to 9 kHz are also analyzed and evaluated. In order to complete a measurement in compliance with the various standards, recording must be over a period of at least 7 days, and a recording interval of 600 seconds must be used. This ensures not only normal production processes are recorded, but also any downtimes, such as at night or at the weekend, as well as various switching and operating modes during the measurement period are taken into account too.

Your benefits at a glance

  • Interference analysis
  • Detailed determination of the power quality status
  • Checking compliance with standards as per EN 50160, EN 61000-2-2, EN 61000-2-4:2002 or EN 61000-2-12
  • Early detection and prevention of PQ deviations and issues
  • Proactive approach to PQ issues
  • Improved device reliability and reduce the risk of malfunctions
  • Ensuring smooth, efficient operation

PQ Special Measurement

PQ Special Measurement is used to provide a detailed analysis of the power quality status and detailed power quality analysis of a network user, which may be a reference system, generation unit and/or storage system.

Details of the PQ Special Measurement

PQ Special Measurement includes the interfering source identification or interference analysis of customer systems, evaluation of power connections of generation units and storage systems according to D-A-CH-CZ, VDE-AR-N 4110 or FGW TR-3 and evaluation of current harmonics of customer systems according to IEEE 519 etc. (following consultation with the customer). This is a customer-specific measurement.

Analysis and evaluation of recorded power quality parameters in customer systems according to the standards and directives
