Who provides subsidies and why?
The BAFA has two subsidy programs in place to improve energy efficiency in Germany. On the one hand, there are subsidies for more efficient buildings, and there are also subsidies for energy efficiency within the economy.
What can be subsidized?
For example, measurement and control technology or interdisciplinary technologies can be subsidized as part of federal funding on energy efficiency within the economy. Such assistance is not limited to hardware so energy management software can also be subsidized alongside energy measurement technology and power factor correction systems, provided that you are officially listed and certified with BAFA.
Measures to improve building efficiency can be subsidized via federal support for efficient buildings. This also covers measurement and control technology, such as for building automation.
